EDIT: Based on the vitriol experienced in the comment sections on our video and on various websites, Alyssa smartly included the following disclaimer in her Youtube description. I have copied it here to cover my ass dispel any assumptions.

This video is a joke/parody! We think Kickstarter is great. I have used it for my own projects and donated to many successful projects that I was proud to be a part of. That said, there are lots of lame projects that never get completed, or are a huge letdown to the backers and it’s okay to laugh about it.
